OUR RAISON D'ETRE | WHY WE WAKE UP EVERY SINGLE MORNING TO DO WHAT WE DO
Too much suffering in the world. Problems aren't solved fast enough.
These are just 9 observations. There's more where that came from.
Extreme poverty.
700M live on < $2.15/day. Accessing food, safe drinking water, sanitation, healthcare, and housing is a luxurious dream and a constant daily battle.
Global hunger.
We produce enough food to feed 10B people, yet 1 in 9 still go to bed hungry every night. 150M under 5 are stunted by malnutrition with long-term effects.
Climate change by GHG's.
We emit 50 billion metric tonnes of CO2e in excess greenhouse gas emissions every year. This # climbs higher every single day.
Energy poverty.
570M lack access to energy. Millions more can't afford such a univeral basic need, since the levelized cost of energy is too high relative to their income.
Preventable diseases & death.
10M die from easily preventable diseases and deaths that we have cost effective treatments for. We have the cure or at least a treatment. Yet...
Water scarcity & sanitation.
1.8B live in countries with absolute water scarcity. 80% of illnesses in the developing world are linked to inadequate water & sanitation.
Child labour.
160M children are trapped in child labour, trafficking and slavery. Over 50% work in dirty, dangerous, gruelling jobs; depriving them of education.
$3.73T of ODA. Where'd it go?
While we won't know the counterfactual (what would've happened without aid), it's fair to expect better. Progress has been stagnant, linear at best.
The bottom billion are stuck.
Most problems are centralized in low-income, least developed countries. Yet in 51 years, only 6 out of 53 countries have graduated from the 🇺🇳 LDC class.

You can't solve problems if you don't know what they are.
Target Beneficiaries: Fortune 500's (CSR/ESG teams), Government, Non-Profit Organizations and Charities, Venture Capital Funds, Philanthropists, Entrepreneurs, Individual Trailblazers and Aspiring Changemakers.
Connecting genius.
Change happens when individuals, organizations, institutions and leaders align to solve problems.
Why? To facilitate discussion, amplify impact, and connect people to solve the right root causes to global problems.

In the past 52 years, only 6 out of 53 countries have graduated from the UN Least Developed Countries category. At this rate, the UN SDG’s are no where near being reached until 2092. Many of us will be grey and old.
